Foreign Languages in Russian Education and Science

Sociolinguistic status of foreign languages in Russian education and science is analyzed herein; prerequisites for foreign languages learning in Russia are substantiated; the formula for determining the prestige of a certain language and qualification indicators of a language social vertical position are determined; trends of the English language usage as the second language and the only foreign language are pointed out; a discursive frame of the English language is expressed from the date of signing of the Treaty of Versailles. The English language functioning in the Russian education system as an implicatum is proved by the presence of a posteriori formations, that were unknown for, at least, in recurrent meanings or unpopular in the speech community

Peculiarities of Translation Realionyms into German

This article considers translation techniques of endemic units in the modern German language which are challenging in terms of translation issues and include the Tomsk realionyms possessing prominent local stylistic color and referring to the realias of toponymy, history and architecture of Tomsk and Tomsk region. German translation of these lexical units seems relevant due to the special status of the German language in the Tomsk region, as well as for the actual needs of the translation and lexicography. Functionally Tomsk realionyms represent intermediate class within a categorical scale of the nomen class ranging from appellativity to propriality - nomen realium, which combines features of serial and individual categories

Structural Characteristic of the German-English Hybrids of the Information Security Sphere

The article describes the results of structural analysis of the German-English hybrid terms of the information security sphere. The obtained data testify to the serious impact of the English influence on German primarily in the peripheral sphere of the German language stock. The hybridity is stated as a result of aggregation of the literary German lexical system and language mixing owning to an invasive borrowing process

Onomatological analysis of the technonyms in the sphere of energetics (based on the Russian, English and Chinese languages)

The article deals with the results of the onomatological analysis of the names of renewable energy facilities in the Russian, English and Chinese languages. The relevance of the study is determined by the trends in the development of these languages and their onomasiological foundation, which require focused attention of linguists in the context of an avalanche-type enlargement of terminological spheres. Electric Equipment Diagnosis based on Wavelet Analysis

Due to electric equipment development and complication it is necessary to have a precise and intense diagnosis. Nowadays there are two basic ways of diagnosis: analog signal processing and digital signal processing. The latter is more preferable. The basic ways of digital signal processing (Fourier transform and Fast Fourier transform) include one of the modern methods based on wavelet transform. This research is dedicated to analyzing characteristic features and advantages of wavelet transform. This article shows the ways of using wavelet analysis and the process of test signal converting. In order to carry out this analysis, computer software Mathcad was used and 2D wavelet spectrum for a complex function was created

A researching of the process of binding software to hardware

Information security is one of the most important sphere in Cybernetics. And for Russia this problem is state-of-the-art because of the wide-spread internet piracy and a huge number of hackers. This article explores the commonest ways to protect software using binding to hardware, with a focus on the main approaches to a collection of data from hardware and ways of data processing. As a possible method of solution it is accepted to collect data from main parts of hardware using .Net Framework and further process it using hash-function. The preliminary results reveal that standard facilities of .Net Framework and programming language C# allows gathering information from hardware in simple way. Thus, as a result of research the special software for getting protection code was developed

Neutron Age Determination in Fast Reactor Materials using the Group Method

The article deals with the methods of identifying fast neutron age in sodium (Na) and uranium-238 (238U); describes the model of advanced and effective fast neutron nuclear reactors (FN), where Na is a coolant while 238U is involved in the fuel cycle in large quantities; justifies the choice of the group method for calculating the neutron age value in the substances mentioned above that can show the accuracy of the used constants for Na and estimate various versions of multilevel description of neutron moderation in 238U – the most powerful resonance absorber of the neutron reactor active zone
